Mr. Roughton's Aviation class flew drones today. This photo of the baseball field was taken by one of the drones.


Kindergarten participated in an afternoon nature walk where they learned why leaves turn colors and fall to the ground in Autumn. They collected, observed, and investigated leaves and enjoyed the beautiful Fall day.



2nd Graders enjoyed their fantastic field trip to Rohrbach's Farm Market on Thursday.





Ella Karnes is a senior at SCA who loves making art. She is currently working on a 3D Design project with Mrs. Roulin, the High School Art Teacher.


Mr. Roth's 7th grade science students explored our school property to observe the fall foliage this week. Afterward, they came back into the classroom to learn about the chemistry of how the leaves of deciduous trees change color each fall.


Mrs. Gratti's 4th grade class is playing monster ball and Mr. Hauer's Kindergarten class is doing station activities in gym class.

Miss Johnson's class had a pumpkin painting contest after learning about the Circleville Pumpkin Show in Ohio. The students painted pumpkins and asked their teachers and families to vote for the one they liked best. Then the students graphed the votes. Congratulations to #7 who had 10 votes!

Congratulations to G. C. Hartman's Citizen of the Month for October, third grader, Sarah Davis. You exhibit the qualities of a good citizen in our school! Keep up the great work!


First grade students from Mrs. Hockenbroch's class and fourth grade students from Mrs. Diehl's class partnered up for a special treat of buddy reading to each other.


The following students were chosen by eighth-grade staff at Southern Columbia Middle School SoCo Stars of the Month for September 2022. These students were chosen because they displayed self-control, tolerance, academic integrity, and resilience within the school setting. Congratulations to each student and their families!

Elementary Pep-Rally





Here are all of the final products from yesterday's Halloween window painting in Bloomsburg. Great work, high school art students!





High school art students were invited by The Exchange in Bloomsburg to compete in a Halloween Window painting contest among several area schools.
Visit Ding Tea, located at 6 W. Main Street, and Sunset Holding Apartments, located at 2 W. Main Street, both of Bloomsburg, to get a closer look at their work.





Students are exploring abstract art with line, shape, and color in the elementary art room.
