In Elementary Library, Third and Fourth Grade students were treated to a virtual author visit from R.L. Stine, "The King of Horror" on Halloween. Stine read excerpts to our students from the first book of his Goosebumps "House of Shivers" series called "Scariest.Book.Ever." This book was just released last month. Students were also able to interact with Stine and ask him questions, and they played trivia at the end of the visit. Third and Fourth Grade students received a copy of the book as a gift from our librarian to have as a memory from the visit.

Some spooky sights were seen around G.C. Hartman Elementary School last week. We saw witches and wizards, sleepy zombies in their pajamas, and a number of costumed characters seeking treats, not tricks. 🦇🎃👻

It must be through the student's email address, as it will not work with any other email addresses. Your child's email information is the same as their computer login. Second Graders had a great time making full-sized sunflowers in Mrs. Brown's Art class. Students are pictured in the art room proudly displaying their painting skills. Students also practiced their fine motor skills by cutting out their masterpieces very carefully and then practiced knot-making, using raffia, to embellish the stem. Students focused on the elements of line, shape, pattern, and color. Blending their paint was encouraged. All Second Grade classes will have their flowers displayed in the hallway outside of the large group area in the elementary school during the fall season.
