Todayβs Boys and Girls JH Soccer β½οΈgames at Selinsgrove have been postponed due to the pending weather.

Students in Mrs. Long's high school history class learned about different countries' life expectancy rates, citizens' access to doctors, stunting rates, and citizen's access to clean drinking water. Students randomly selected countries and were split into groups based on the four variables above. Manipulatives further demonstrated the divide. Students learned through this activity that many people around the world do not have access to essentials that we take for granted. This is a replication of an activity by Dr. Frederickson at Wilkes University.




Brandon Brown, a Science in Motion Mobile Educator with Bloomsburg University, visited Ms. Vitkauskas's Science classes yesterday. He helped the class explore and uncover the fascinating traits and capabilities of liquid nitrogen, including its ability to make ice cream.

Chase Conway recently committed to continue his Academic and Athletic career at Mount Aloysius College where he will continue his soccer career w the Mounties. Chase is seated w his family members Tori Conway, mother Michelle Conway and Trent Conway.


Riley Reed recently committed to continue her Academic and Athletic career at Penn College where she will play soccer for the Wild Cats. Seated w Riley are her parents Jennifer and Jason Reed accompanied by family and coaches.


JV Baseball will now play a Double Header with Bloomsburg HS on Thursday May 12th starting at 4:00pm at Southern Columbia. βΎοΈ

Tomorrowβs (05/11) Varsity Baseball game at Central Columbia will have a 4pm start time. βΎοΈ

The SAVE A Life Walk is coming up May 14th from 12pm-4pm. The walk is meant to promote positivity within our community and deter violence, whether itβs self-inflicted or inflicted on others. The walk will include an emergency services information station, therapy dogs, Ritaβs Italian Ice, a firearm safety station, arts and crafts, and yard games. We hope to see you there!

Tomorrowβs JV Baseball game vs Loyalsock has been cancelled. βΎοΈ

βStudents recently took part in the Envirothon Competition at Shikellamy State Park. They took tests on categories such as forestry, aquatics, wildlife, current events, and soils. These tests were based on environmental factors in Columbia and Northumberland counties.



Students in the High School Gifted Program participated in an hour-long Zoom forum with Representative Millard where they asked current event questions and other questions relevant to their lives. Participating students were: Jaron Ferrara, Savich Chapman, and Joseph Quinton.
