Tomorrow’s Varsity Baseball game w Shikellamy has been postponed and rescheduled to Tuesday March 29th, 2022 at 4:30pm at Shikellamy. Fans should enter through the football field and walk around the back of the dugouts to access the bleachers.
Being a Tiger is something that those that have been, currently are, and those that will be only understand. Football, Girls Soccer, Wrestling, Baseball, Boys Track & Field, Field Hockey, Softball, and now Girls Basketball have all reached the final stage. Who is next for SCA?!
What a season for the Girls Basketball team (29-2) as a state finalist while winning the PIAA East, District IV, PHAC Overall, PHAC Division 2, and hopeful that @WNEPSports takes into account how great of a season it has been with competition and can add a WNEP Dream Team trophy.
A Girls Basketball PIAA Silver is still an outstanding feat, & these girls will forever be engrained in SCA History as long as they live:
-First State Finalist in basketball.
-First Girls sports program to make a 2A State Championship.
-Most wins ever by a Tiger athletic team.
In a battle at the Giant Center in Hershey for the AA State Title between the Tigers and Neshannock…the Tigers face a 5 point deficit at 30-25 to start the second half. Time for a rally! Let’s go SoCo!

Congratulations to junior shooting guard Ava Novak on being selected as the “Athlete of the Week” by the News-Item for her performances last week against Bishop McCort & Mount Carmel to help lead the Tigers to the school’s first ever PIAA Basketball Championship appearance.

That tonight folks is what sports is all about. It doesn’t matter if it is checkers, a spelling bee, on the gridiron, or an intense basketball game. The competitiveness between the Tigers and Red Tornadoes is something special. Our girls showed the “Heart of a Champion!”
