
Ms. Merook's 2nd Grade students challenged themselves to reach the goal of learning how to tie their shoes! 👟🐯


Students in Mr. Williams' 6th Grade Computer Class have recently begun exploring spreadsheets. Students have worked on creating pixel art within a spreadsheet and then transitioned to creating graphs and tables utilizing formulas in order to automatically calculate data and display it in a visual manner.



Congratulations to Landon Ferrara, Isaac Carter, Gavin Krebs, and Milind Kapadiya for securing a 4th place win in a brain teaser competition against 52 other teams. They also battled against the top team in an intense game of 24 and came out in second place. The entire competition occurred at Commonwealth University. Miss Stine and Mrs. Roughton took the students as a combined mathematics and gifted venture.






The Junior class met with a representative from Commonwealth-Bloomsburg this morning to learn about their Early College program.


The SCA Bocce team ended the season with 4th place finish at the League Championships yesterday. The team had a great season! Thanks to everyone who supported the squad! 🐅



During each of the next ten weeks, the Journalism class will be publishing a "Student Teacher Feature" on each of the student teachers who are working in our district this semester. We hope you enjoy getting to know all of these aspiring educators.

February is "Love The Bus Month." We'd like to take this opportunity to showcase some of the amazing school bus drivers who make safe student transportation possible in our district. Thank you to all of our bus drivers for their service and dedication! 🚌🐯

Students in Mr. Williams' 8th Grade STEM Class are currently working on a Python Coding unit where they are learning to create images with gradients, fills, and shadows. Students pictured here are displaying one of their most recent works of art, a candle complete with shadows, gradients, and fills.


High School Spanish students participated in a Dr. Seuss Read Aloud with Kindergarteners today.


A new, FREE mathematics tutoring program for anyone in grades 7-12 will be starting on March 4th. It will take place every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in High School - Rm 211 (Mrs. Troutman’s room) from 3:00-4:00 PM. There will be both teacher and student tutors available to help with homework, test review, and standardized testing preparation. Please note, transportation will NOT be provided. Students were given flyers in their math class. They can sign up using the QR code on the flyer. Students must sign up for each day they want to come for tutoring. If you have any questions about the program, you can contact Mrs. Shannon Troutman at stroutman@scasd.us.


5th graders Garrett Schaffer, Anay Patel, and Giuliana Worhacz practiced their trumpets during a band lesson today. By the look on Mr. McWilliams' face, they were doing quite well. Keep up the great work!


Girls in Grades K-5, along with their special someone, enjoyed a magical evening of dance, fun, and friendship at the 2024 Daddy Daughter Dance on Friday night. 🩰🪩











A new tradition has made its mark in the high school. The High School Art Club President, Sophia Boucher, under the direction of Mrs. Roulin, painted a cinder block for each musical production directed by Mrs. McWilliams. Great job, Sophia!

Read Across America Week is quickly approaching and the Elementary library will be hosting two challenges during that week to help promote and celebrate reading. Kindergarten is invited to make Dr. Seuss a (non-edible; non-food) birthday cake, and First through Fourth Graders are invited to make him a hot air balloon/balloon centerpiece display inspired by, "Oh the Places You'll Go."

5th Grade students recently took part in a "Stop the Bleed" training with some of our local paramedics.







Ninth Grade students in Mrs. Becker's Office Applications class were recently provided with a bag of Valentine's Day candy and asked to sort and log the candy in tables in an Access database. They then created queries of the data based on characteristics of the candy. Students were able to enjoy the treats at the end of the lesson.
