Congratulations to Joey Singley on reaching the 50 career goals milestone! He achieved the mark in a 6-0 victory over Shamokin at Tiger Stadium last night. Singley, who scored four goals, was at the forefront of a second half barrage which saw the Tigers score all six of their goals in the final 27 minutes of play. The team finished the regular season with a 10-8 record, and they will be the #4 seed in the upcoming District IV Class A playoffs. ⚽🥅

A new club has been added to the SCA atmosphere. Mrs. Long and Ms. Guffey fronted the move to create a Forensics Club. This speech and debate club seeks to provide students with the ability to develop critical thinking skills, writing skills, and presentation skills. Students are taught to engage in civil discussion and learn to understand both sides of an argument. Analytical and public speaking skills will be put to the ultimate test. The first event is scheduled for October 26th. Pictured are the club's officers. Contributor: Wyatt Martin, Journalism Staff Member

Students are not permitted to carry their own medication. If your child requires medication while in school, prescription or Over-the Counter, a medication order from a physician is required and the parent must bring it into school and give it directly to the Nurse with completion of a Medication Receipt (provided by the nurse). Students are only permitted to self-carry an inhaler and/or Epi-pen with a physician's order. Students are permitted to carry their own cough drops if needed. Thank you!

A brief message from the Food Service Department: Reminder to families in the district regarding Milk sales. If a student desires to purchase an individual Milk, they must have a positive balance in their school lunch account. The reason for this is that individual Milk sales do not fall under the Free and Reduced pricing structure. Milk is included in the meal cost, but only as a component of a complete meal. The cost for each milk sold separately is $0.50. We will not turn a student away from obtaining a milk, as it is vital to growth and development. They are, however, subject to a la carte pricing. If you have questions or need more information, please contact me, John Rosselli, at 570-356-3457 or email me at jrosselli@scasd.us. Thank you!
