The Class of 2027 hosted a "Tape the Principal to the Wall" at Friday's Pep Rally. Thank you to the Principals and everyone who participated. The class raised $454 towards Prom 2026!
Juniors and Seniors visited Commonwealth-Bloomsburg University on Thursday, October 3. They met with admissions, toured the campus, and met with current students to learn more about the school. 🏫
The following students were chosen by the 6th Grade Team at Southern Columbia Middle School as September's SoCo Stars of the Month. These students were chosen because they have displayed self-control, tolerance, academic integrity, and resilience within the school setting. Congratulations to each student and their families! Josh Maciejewski visited the school yesterday to present a workshop on starting a business. Business students and FBLA members attended the event in the high school auditorium. Mr. Maciejewski also spoke to 8th Grade Futures students at the end of the day.








2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade Gifted students have started learning about the inner workings of submarines, what daily life is like on a submarine, as well as an introduction to nuclear energy from former Navy submariner, Mr. Maciejewski.

Mrs. Brown's elementary art students created an uplifting display that happened to be eco-friendly too! We hope you had the opportunity to see it in person in the Education Building at the Bloomsburg Fair.

3rd Grade is currently studying the Human Body. We recently had Dr. Hillary Roth in as a guest speaker to talk with our students. She spoke about the different body systems. 🩺🥼
Today the Southern Columbia Area School District observed Suicide Prevention Month by having middle and high school students sign a pledge to raise awareness for suicide prevention during lunches. Staff and students throughout the entire district were asked to wear teal and purple in support, as well as suicide prevention t-shirts designed by the Student Support team. As a district, we were able to raise over $1300 to be donated to the SCASD SAVE Club. Resources were available to students in need.










Mr. Leslie rewarded his students for their achievement and behavior with a "Pancake Day" this morning. 🥞
