After placing 1st in District 4, the Southern Columbia competition cheerleading team earned the opportunity to compete in the State Championships. The competition took place last week, and the girls made it straight to the finals after their stellar day-one performance. They delivered another amazing performance on day two, and as a result, they finished 4th overall out of 26 teams in their division. For such a small team from such a small school to place this high in the state truly shows they are a force to be reckoned with, and many more accomplishments are sure to come. 📣

SCA ALUM TO APPEAR ON ABC’S SHARK TANK
FEBRUARY 7, 2025, AT 8 PM ON ABC
Jared Ebersole, a 2019 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, developed his entrepreneurial skills as President of the Future Business Leaders of America club, guided by Lori Becker. These skills enabled him to launch his first company, selling DIY electric skateboard kits while still in high school. This early venture laid the groundwork for Lectec, the company he co-founded to bring hands-on STEM learning to students nationwide. Now, Jared is showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit on the national stage by pitching Lectec on Shark Tank, demonstrating how a small-town idea can grow into a national opportunity.
Will the Sharks recognize the potential in a startup that's revolutionizing STEM education through hands-on building? Tune in on February 7 at 8 pm to find out!
